Who you are

6+ years of software development experience with a primary focus on front-end technologies, ideally in creating and optimizing e-commerce websites within small teams or start-ups
Strong fundamentals in interactive, responsive front-end development (HTML / CSS / React.js)
Proficiency in consuming APIs (Rest and GraphQL)
Expert in analyzing and optimizing front-end web performance
Deep understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
Strong knowledge of QA best practices, identifying and resolving front-end errors and visual bugs
Experience with the Shopify ecosystem, plus experience with ReCharge and headless Shopify
Passion for dogs and/or animals a plus

What the job involves

Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements
Designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements and address identified customer pain points
Translating wireframes/visual designs into high-quality and high-performing code that’s testable, scalable, and efficient. Ensure the technical feasibility of designs while maintaining a user-centric focus
Owning the technical roadmap, managing technical debt, and keeping up to date with industry best practices and trends
Supporting A/B testing with front-end experiences
Performing code reviews, troubleshooting, and QA efforts to drive seamless and high-quality customer experiences
Optimizing web performance
Scaling the engineering function as the business grows

According to recent studies, canine health and lifespan are in decline even though most dogs' health problems are preventable. Front of the Pack believes that the pet care industry is broken because it focuses on healing existing problems instead of preventing them before they arise.

The startup aims to solve this problem by providing pet owners with dog food and supplements capable to improve and maintain canine health. Front of the Pack distinguishes its products in the market by using formulas that are backed by science, patented technology, and clinically proven ingredients. Due to the efficiency of its products, the company attracted over 130k customers.

The company has fueled its growth by investing in product development and R&D, and has partnered with TikTok stars Kevin Lee and Jennifer Hsiao (a very smart marketing move). It has also launched a GoFundMe for Best Friends Animal Society and will match every dollar donated, up to $15,000, to further their mission of raising the bar on dog food standards.
