What the job involves

Zapier is on the lookout for a seasoned SEO Content Manager to join our ambitious team. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with our content team, acting as a supportive force to amplify our online presence, drive organic traffic, and increase engagement through expert SEO practices
Your primary focus will be on enhancing our SEO framework and processes, uncovering content opportunities, and optimizing our existing portfolio to double our content's impact, reach, and traffic
This role is about growing a high-quality audience through untapped search opportunities, optimization, and data-driven insights to guide our customer journey
Manage our SEO-focused content briefs, including finding and training freelancers and creating your own briefs for new topics and optimizations
Dive deep into our content, identify and leverage SEO enhancement opportunities within our existing content to boost visibility and engagement
Systematically provide innovative SEO insights to our Content team by understanding our editorial process, topic selection, and tooling
Apply expert writing skills and keen attention to detail to execute targeted SEO optimizations, including incorporating keywords into existing content and crafting SEO-focused enhancements for editorial reviews
Deliver in-depth SEO reporting and analytics, translating data into strategic actions. Existing tools include seoClarity, onCrawl, Looker, and ahrefs
Actively participate in team meetings, contributing to SEO strategy and planning discussions

Zapier is the largest integration and automation tool for businesses. Since its founding, Zapier has grown its suite of automation offerings across almost every mainstream software service. The company is one of the most successful to come out of Y Combinator and has also been a pioneer of remote working.

Zapier has so far been able to capitalise heavily on its advantage as one of the first entrants and has had very little actual competition. Software services aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and organisations are only going to need more of them. This puts Zapier in a strong position for growth, but also opens up room for bolder companies to get in on the action. Companies like Airtable and Integromat are already preying on more niche segments of Zapier's market share.
