Role
Who you are
- Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on Javascript/Typescript and Node.JS
- Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, and server-side logic
- Proficiency in database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, React, etc.) and the ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
Desirable
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment processes is a plus
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an outstanding Software Engineer who understands that good code exists to support products and the user experience, and that good code is code that gets the job done in a simple and maintainable way
- Fundamental to this role is designing and building out robust, scalable and performant backend code
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.JS and Javascript/Typescript
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Design and implement efficient data storage solutions, including databases and caching mechanisms
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, best practices, and maintainability
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical challenges
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions
- Contribute to the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our platform

2022 funding is being used to grow Red Sift's EU customer base and further, the international expansion of the company, starting with the implementation of a new US headquarters in Texas.
