Who you are

5+ years of professional experience working with backend technologies
Proficiency in Node.js, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. Python is an advantage
Expertise in PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch
Knowledge of scaling applications for big data
Previous experience building a B2B Saas product with many integrations and high data loads
Previous experience building or maintaining an open-source project is an advantage
A strong team player, willing to put on many hats and contribute towards the team's goals
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
Available to start as soon as possible

What the job involves

You will work closely with the whole product team, including both founders
You will be part of a customer-obsessed company where you do more than write code: you will lead your own projects, be in contact with our customers, make architectural decisions, and you will always be encouraged to take initiative
Furthermore, at crowd, you will contribute to a fully open-sourced codebase. All your contributions will be public, and you will build toward an open future
Build the full stack applications of software that will disrupt the work lives of developer tool companies
Develop a lean and scalable architecture capable of handling billions of data points
Lead your own mission-critical projects
Work closely with the whole development team on the technical big picture, and contribute to strategic and company-wide decisions with the entire team

Rich and lively communities crop up independently online all the time, and once they do they can prove fertile ground for product adoption, business intelligence, and customer feedback. With more companies looking to leverage the power of communities, either for sales or to put them at the core of their business, community management tools are proving especially useful. Crowd.dev has developed a platform doing precisely this for the developer community.

Crowd.dev’s product allows businesses to monitor groups developing across multiple major community platforms like GitHub, Twitter, and LinkedIn, identify key members, and pull community insights. The company’s laser-focus on developer-based communities may seem limiting, but it could pay off. Developer-first business communities are growing in number thanks to the rise of DAOs and Web3, and see especially high levels of dynamic and constructive engagement.

At present, around 80% of Crowd.dev's customers are made up of all kinds of developer-focused companies, including areas like open source, APIs, and developer applications with the Web3 space making up a minority share.
