What the job involves
- At HiveMQ, our customers come first. Thus, as a Product Manager, being an integral part of the HiveMQ broker team and working closely with other disciplines, you will discover and deliver new HiveMQ product capabilities that delight our customers
- In this role you will work cross-functionally to determine how our users interact with our products and run discovery to nail down user problems, needs and desires
- You will strategize product initiatives, break down complex problems and enable your team to deliver new product capabilities
- We work with agile principles and believe reliant data enables us to move fast while continuously meriting the trust that our customers store in us every day
- Learn everything about MQTT, distributed systems, IoT (theory, applications, best practices) and work with your team to understand and deliver outstanding value to our users
- Facilitate strategy formation to deliver on outcomes through new product initiatives
- Discover users' needs and opportunities utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods
- Enable your product team to iteratively discover and deliver new product capabilities
- Enable marketing, customer success and professional services teams and facilitate influx of product insights from the field
Our take
The concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) presents huge potential for smart devices of the future, enabling the transferring of data between devices for cutting-edge enterprise workflows. However, it is currently difficult to transfer the necessary data quickly and reliably to facilitate a seamless IoT experience for enterprises, preventing the technology from being a reliable business solution.
HiveMQ provides an IoT data transfer solution, leveraging an MQTT broker designed for cloud-native deployments to efficiently utilize cloud resources and reduce bandwidth for seamless data transfers. The technology can facilitate connections of up to 10 million devices, guaranteeing that no data is lost when empowering enterprises.
Whilst other data transfer solutions are sufficient for consumer-grade connections, HiveMQ has recognised that this is not so for enterprises, smartly leveraging MQTT brokers to provide IoT connections that are fast, reliable, and secure. The technology can be deployed on private, hybrid and public clouds such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, and is paired with the HiveMQ Cloud Platform to facilitate MQTT cloud-broker cluster management. In March 2023, HiveMQ achieved an impressive benchmark of 200 million simultaneous connections, indicating its platform's growing strength.
