Role
Who you are
- Experience – you are a recent Bachelor graduate taking a gap year or a Master graduate with internship experience in private equity, investment banking or strategy consulting
- Education – you have graduated and consistently achieved excellent results from a leading university in economics, business or a quantitative field
- Investment enthusiasm – you showcase a strong interest in finance and appreciate world-class investment research and in-depth analyses
- Languages – you are a (near-)native German speaker with perfect command of English
- Availability – you are ready to take on a full-time job and available to join us for at least a year
What the job involves
- Profile and analyse businesses by collecting and processing their financials along with drawing up business, market, ownership and M&A track record overviews
- Form integrated views on platform and add-on deal opportunities for leading private equity clients across Europe, with our technology supporting and enriching your insights
- Review analyses conducted by your peers
- Support research initiatives and learn about specific niche sectors we analyse on a weekly basis
- Support side projects for research purposes (e.g. long lists)
Our take
Private market visibility isn’t easy to come by. With the year over year growth in sectors like VC investment, and growing uncertainty in the markets, the insights it yields are becoming increasingly valuable. Gain is looking to corner this market niche, with its platform that aims to provide faster and more accurate insights into private companies.
The platform offers a spread of search and source capabilities for private companies that includes comprehensive financials, automated searches and updates, and data visualisation. Whilst other companies are offering a similar service for high-growth UK companies, Gain’s private and global market focus takes this successful model and applies it to a particularly lucrative area.
Gain is seeing good results, too. It’s secured a spread of blue-chip clientele including Bain, McKinsey, Rothschild, and Perella Weinberg, demonstrating a strong product with high growth potential. Plus, with plenty of funding under its belt, it’s on solid footing to find future success.
