Our take
For golf enthusiasts, it can be difficult to improve performance, with so many aspects of the game contributing to making that great shot. Classes and tutors are a good place to start, but many golfers do not have the time or money to dedicate to in-person learning. Hole19 supplies a freemium golf app that acts as an AI caddy and golf coach, to enable players to improve their games and reduce their handicaps.
Hole19, which claims an average three-shot reduction to user handicaps per year, provides its free users with overviews of the holes across a large range of courses. Premium features include features like shot tracking, club recommendations, and performance insights. Although this functionality is already widely available through golf watches, Hole19 represents a much more money-conscious option, making it an attractive option to a greater number of golfers.
Hole19 boasts over 3 million users, and represents the largest community in golf. The company continues to add new features to the app, and has launched a competition for UK users, as well as a golf apparel store – showcasing that it has the potential to become a one-stop shop for all things golf.
