Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of product marketing experience at a global technology platform, preferably with experience in marketplaces, commerce, creator monetization, consumer products, payments, or financial products
- Strong messaging, positioning, product storytelling, and content-strategy skills
- Experience leading omnichannel product marketing strategies from insight through launch and adoption
- Experience driving deep cross-functional partnerships, building alignment, and working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- The ability to identify gaps and opportunities, then influence relevant teams and executive leadership toward resolution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership
- A collaborative, self-driven, and perpetually curious working style, with a high degree of audience focus
- Passion for building trusted, vibrant two-sided marketplaces and helping creators build sustainable businesses
What the job involves
- As the Product Marketing Manager for Marketplace, you will lead the strategy, positioning, and go-to-market execution for products and policies that shape how creators create, discover, sell, and grow virtual items on Roblox
- You will partner closely with Product and Engineering to help creators build thriving businesses through Marketplace while ensuring users have an intuitive, inspiring, and trusted experience
- You will be a core part of defining and executing the strategy for Marketplace solutions that grow creator supply, strengthen shopper demand, improve discovery and conversion, and contribute to the growth of Roblox’s broader economy
- Own the Marketplace narrative, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across creator supply, shopper demand, discovery, merchandising, pricing, and trust
- Lead the launch process for Marketplace products and policies, including strategy, messaging, positioning, content, enablement, and measurement
- Partner with Product and Engineering to drive adoption and improve Marketplace outcomes, including item discovery, conversion, repeat purchase, creator earnings, and ecosystem health
- Develop compelling, evergreen product content that educates and inspires creators, partners, and other key stakeholders
- Translate creator and consumer insights, industry trends, and Marketplace performance into product priorities, messaging, and how we take products to market
- Define how Marketplace initiatives connect to Roblox’s broader creator economy, including avatar, virtual items, monetization, and commerce
- Foster deep cross-functional collaboration among Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, Developer Relations, Data Science, and Communications; become a trusted advisor to these teams
- Clearly communicate Marketplace product details, strategy, and vision internally and externally
- Ensure executive leadership and internal partners are aligned on launch strategies and tactics, and that external partners have a smooth onboarding experience when Marketplace changes affect them
