5+ years writing and editing/proofing experience across a range of disciplines/markets/audiences with excellent attention to detail

Strong organizational/administrative skills

What the job involves

We are seeking a talented Technical Marketing Specialist to join our technical marketing team. As a Technical Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for writing and/or editing marketing collateral, white papers, documentation, tutorials (written and video), and blogs
Technical marketing is embedded in our product team, and you will work closely with product managers, technical writers in other teams, our marketing team, our customer and sales teams, and an array of engineering teams
You will have to wear many hats and learn new disciplines as our team grows and adapts to meet the needs of the company. This role specializes in AI software, software stacks, and models
Writing/Editing: Author/proof/edit marketing copy, messaging, white papers, technical documentation, written tutorials, tutorial video scripts, and blogs
Presentations: Author and/or maintain internal and external slide decks as well as present to different teams/audiences
Administration: Intake, track, and organize collateral requests/updates and help drive marketing initiatives
Competitive Analysis: Maintain a baseline understanding of the greater AI ecosystem - focusing specifically on competing software stacks and solutions - and consult with the product team
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, sales, customer success, marketing, IT, and developer relations teams as well as technical writers embedded in other teams
Tailoring for Audiences: Translate complex concepts into language and material suitable for different audiences with a range of technical experience

Our take

Tenstorrent is a US- and Canada-based semiconductor startup specializing in processors for AI workloads. Rather than building gneral-purpose CPUs or GPus, the company develops custom chips and sofrware optimized for running moder AI models. As demand for AI accelerates, and as a global chip shortage reshapes the semiconductor industry, these trends have become strong tailwinds for Tenstorrent.

The company’s unique approach is to build for this future software, which it believes will be written at a higher level. Combining this with conditional computing, Tenstorrent supports a scalable distributed network approach that is analogous to a human brain.

While the market for specialized AI hardware is destined to be gigantic, the company has to compete with a plethora of hopeful startups (as well as major tech companies like NVIDIA and Qualcomm). That said, Tenstorrent boasts an excellent trajectory so far, with its latest moves including unveiling its high-end Wormhole AI processors, and a partnership with LG which will see the development of chips for "Affectionate Intelligence".
