Manager of Perception Labeling and Tools, Zoox

• 5+ years of engineering experience in full-stack application development
• 2+ years of engineering management experience that demonstrated the ability to develop people and build a strong team
• Experience designing and building modern data-intensive web applications such as data warehouses, data processing tools, or data visualization tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and support other teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• We are seeking an Engineer Manager to lead a team of engineers and work closely with ML teams to build tools and data pipelines to support ML data collection and labeling
• Data collection is the core stage of data-driven ML development and is critical to model training and performance evaluation
• Lead and inspire a team of engineers, and develop their careers by identifying opportunities and delivering impactful results
• Architect and develop tooling for data mining, data labeling, and quality control such that other AI teams can leverage high-quality data to train and evaluate their models
• Define the product roadmap that meets the needs of 10+ ML teams and collaborate with other infrastructure teams to share milestones and enhance pipeline efficiency
• Scale operations across hundreds of human labelers to fulfill data needs across AI, hardware, and data science teams
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in ML data products to continuously innovate the data-driven ML development process
