- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, and graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027
- A problem solving mindset and the ability to think critically about complex problems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work autonomously and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
What the job involves
- We are looking for ambitious students currently pursuing an engineering degree who are ready to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real-world challenges
- This internship will involve working on a focused, impactful project within GTM-CX (Go To Market Customer/ Support Experience) space in Salesforce allowing you to create innovative value for our customers
- Work with key GTM systems and applications like Salesforce, Coveo, Qualtrics, Skilljar and other technologies which provide the critical infrastructure to support successful go-to-market organizations
- As an Intern, you will be supported along the way and will have opportunities for continuous learning and mentorship
- Assist in the requirements gathering, design and implementation of scalable, reusable, and maintainable software components
- Learn and work with engineering teams in Agile Methodology to understand project scope and participate in our planning process
- Assist the product team in analyzing data to understand patterns, usage & provide recommendations
- Participate in test-driven development, design, and code reviews
- Contribute iterative improvements to our systems under guidance
- Collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Security, and Design teams to solve cross functional challenges
- As an intern, you will do real work that matters. While you are on board, you will work on meaningful projects and have an opportunity to see what working at Okta is all about. You will also have the assistance of your mentor and manager to help you develop new skills
- Our interns have the opportunity to build a strong community, with their fellow interns, within their teams, and with the broader company. We want you to grow professionally and you will do that through participating in events like our Executive Speaker Series and Brown Bags. And of course, we want you to have fun too
- We offer 12-week summer internships in the U.S. with two available start dates. You may choose from the following options: May 26 – August 14 or June 15 – September 4
Our take
Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.
The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. It aims to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.
Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
