Who you are
- 5+ years of relevant experience as marketer or brand strategist, with expertise in ad tech and media
- Professional experience developing ad strategies for Fortune 500 companies across verticals such as CPG, Auto, Theatrical, Retail, and more
- Craft new revenue-driving moments-related programs that assist in the commitment of scatter budgets
- A rich understanding of the streaming, TV, digital, social, and programmatic advertising landscape and challenges brands face within each
- Deep expertise crafting impactful and unique programs, designed to drive advertiser’s objectives as well as a positive consumer experience
- An understanding of the importance of balancing the end user experience and the advertiser’s objectives
- Track record of working cross functionally to problem solve and build processes to ensure a smooth activation process
- Collaborative nature & track record of being an invaluable resource to sales teams
- Experience with presenting to senior-level stakeholders, both internal and external

- College degree or equivalent

- The Customer Marketing and Strategy team acts as the quarterback to sales, helping to build long term strategies and solutions that ultimately aid in revenue growth and deepen partnerships with priority accounts
- In partnership with sales, we ensure our clients are constantly evolving to build successful CTV strategies, test and adopt new products, and build the future of TV together
- As a Customer Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for developing smart, brand-specific solutions that meet key business objectives
- In addition to ideating best-in-class streaming campaigns, you will also partner with cross functional teams to ensure the strategies we’re proposing are going to perform
- This role requires someone who can manage ambiguity, feel comfortable in the unknown, wear many hats, and lead with a solutions-oriented mindset, as they navigate this ever-changing, fast-paced environment
- Not only will this Manager help partner with the Ad Sales team to drive revenue, but they will also help shape the future of streaming excellence in the CTV industry
- Act as a partner to the Ad Sales team to aid in driving revenue and adoption of Roku’s offerings
- Develop brand-specific strategies, leveraging Roku’s various ad products, content, measurement, and data solutions to drive performance for our advertising partners
- Act as the marketing and solutions streaming expert in support of a specific agency, across various verticals such as CPG, Auto, Theatrical, Retail, and more to drive demand and create advocacy amongst the advertising industry
- Present programs and custom solutions to key stakeholders internally and externally
- Develop processes, in partnership with cross functional partners, to ensure a smooth pre-sale and post-sale workflow
- Partner with Product teams to drive innovation based on client feedback and potential opportunities
- Partner with measurement and client services to develop learning agendas and identify strategies to deliver against a client’s goals

According to Nielsen data, the average streamer spends over seven minutes searching for something to watch. Streaming services use customers' viewing history to make suggestions, but these are limited to programs licensed for that particular service.
Roku provides an integrated streaming service that offers TV channels, movies and third-party streaming services, resulting in an all-in-one streaming platform. The service can be accessed through a variety of customized subscription packages and fees.
Roku stands out in the streaming industry by bringing many competitors together in one package. The startup provides further innovative services such as a weekly TV series named 'Roku Recommends' which uses first-party data to recommend essential viewing to users. Alongside funding filmmakers through its "Change Makers Program", Roku also acquired its own original library of shows through its acquisition of now-defunct Quibi's library in 2021. After successful collaborations with TCL and Hisense, the first in-house "Roku Television" was released in 2023, further exemplifying the streaming company's wider ambitions in the media sector.
