Who you are
- Have 3+ years of experience in workplace coordination, front desk, office management, or operations roles within a fast-paced environment
- Are comfortable being fully on-site five days per week and supporting a front desk–focused role
- Enjoy supporting day-to-day office operations and taking ownership of a physical workplace
- Take pride in delivering a polished, welcoming, and high-quality front desk experience
- Are highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills

What the job involves
- Crusoe is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Workplace Coordinator to create exceptional workplace experiences for our Sunnyvale office
- As the first point of contact for employees, guests, and vendors, you will deliver a warm, professional front desk experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing workplace
- This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Sunnyvale office, requiring on-site presence five days per week
- In this hands-on role, you will partner closely with the Workplace Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, support employee engagement initiatives, and help foster a welcoming, productive, and inclusive office environment
- As Crusoe continues to scale in 2026, your adaptability, attention to detail, and dedication to operational excellence will play a key role in shaping our Sunnyvale office into a thriving hub for our team
- Serve as the face of the Sunnyvale office, providing a friendly, professional, and consistent front desk experience for employees, visitors, and vendors
- Manage visitor check-ins using the visitor management system and ensure adherence to security protocols
- Support daily front desk and office operations, acting as the primary point of contact for general workplace inquiries
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure conference rooms, shared spaces, and office areas are clean, organized, stocked, and fully functional. Address any discrepancies as necessary
- Coordinate with vendors and facilities partners as needed to address office needs
- Assist with planning and executing office events, including setup, breakdown, and catering coordination
- Support employee engagement initiatives, team events, and company-wide activities
- Assist with new hire onboarding logistics and setup for visiting employees,
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well-run office environment that reflects Crusoe’s values and culture
Our take
Crusoe is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing the digital age: the enormous energy demand of data centres and AI infrastructure. As AI models grow more powerful, they require immense computing power (and therefor electricity) to train and operate. This surge in energy use has put some pressure on power grids, driven up costs, and raised environmental concerns. Crusoe is on a mission to make this process more sustainable by finding smarter, cleaner, and more efficient ways to power the data centres that drive modern computing.
The company started out by putting wasted energy to work. Originally known as Crusoe Energy, it captured natural gas that would otherwise be burned off ("flared") at remote oil sites and used it to power modular data centres. Today, Crusoe has evolved into a major player in AI infrastructure, designing and operating large-scale data centres near renewable or stranded energy sources. It's now one of a handful of "neocloud" companies (next-generation cloud providers focused on flexible, efficient computing for AI workloads). And its facilities are helping tech giants like OpenAI handle the massive computing requirements of training advanced AI models.
Recently, Crusoe has attracted some huge investor attention, tripling its valuation to over $10B and raising $1.4B in its latest funding round. It's building OpenAI's first major US data centre campus and even experimenting with bold new frontiers. In partnership with Starcloud, Crusoe plans to deploy the world's first space-based cloud computing infrastructure, powered by solar energy and orbiting the Earth by 2027. If successful, this could redefine how and where computing happens, opening up a cleaner, virtually limitless source of energy for AI's next generation.
