Instead of focusing on live video calls or group video chats, Marco Polo focuses on asynchronous communication. That makes Marco Polo an ideal fit for an older generation who are short on time but increasingly keen to engage with technology to improve their lives & relationships.
The company earned millions of new users over the pandemic and has managed to continue that momentum with new features such as ‘Channels’ which brings creators onto the platform, providing more content.
Like any company of its kind, Marco Polo’s main goal will be to avoid becoming a ‘fad’ while growing revenue. A less fickle, older user base and strong network effects mean that it stands a great chance.
