What the job involves

At Trellis, our Consumer Operations team is the heartbeat of the business. It’s a team of licensed insurance agents helping real people, in real time, find coverage
Every call, text, and quote directly impacts revenue. Right now, the data powering those decisions lags behind reality
We're hiring a Data Analyst, Agency to change that
This role sits at the intersection of business reality and data truth. You'll transform messy operational data into clarity, then translate that clarity into decisions that improve agent efficiency, revenue, and overall business health
This is a fully remote position, based in the US or Canada, and will report directly into Keith Schreer, VP of Data
Partner with Consumer Operations leadership to define the metrics we use to run the business
Investigate unexpected performance changes, uncover root causes, and recommend our response — not just surface symptoms
Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and monitoring systems that surface issues before they become crises
Connect disparate data sources into a unified, trustworthy picture
Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for non-technical leaders
Help shift the organization from reactive to proactive through better data

Our take

Changing insurance providers can be a confusing and time-consuming process, which is why many people end up sticking with policies that aren't quite right for them. Trellis was built to make this easier, offering a platform that lets users compare insurance options side-by-side. It also works with digital banks and financial platforms to present relevant insurance choices directly to customers.

Recently, Trellis was acquired by Gen Digital, the company behind brands like Norton and LifeLock. As part of the deal, Trellis' technology will be integrated into Gen's "Engine" platform, which helps users find financial products tailored to their needs. Meaning Trellis' tools will now reach a much larger audience and play a role in offering more personalized insurance recommendations.

The acquisition highlights a broader trend in finance, where services like insurance are increasingly built into the apps and platforms people already use. With Gen's scale behind it, Trellis is now in an even better position to grow and improve how customers discover and choose insurance products.
