- You are native German and fluent in English, allowing you to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders in an international environment
- You have proven experience in outbound B2B SaaS sales
- You can demonstrate a strong track record of performance, including consistent quota overachievement
- You are confident in pitching complex technical solutions (experience in AI, CAD, CAE, or engineering software is a strong plus)
- You are resilient, handle rejection well, and continuously iterate with a growth mindset
- You are proficient with CRM systems and modern outbound tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay, and Aircall
- You are motivated by proactively identifying and creating new business opportunities
What the job involves
- Joining us as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in Germany, you’ll be the first voice our future customers hear — C-level deciders, engineering leaders, innovation teams, and thought leaders at forward-thinking deep-tech companies
- Your mission: turn curiosity into conversations, and conversations into real business opportunities
- Let’s be real: this role is hands-on
- You’ll spend a lot of time picking up the phone, sending messages, following up, and getting through to tough prospects
- Along the way, you will learn how to position and pitch an AI product that delivers value, and how to drive thought leadership in the field of AI
- You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing, test different outreach strategies, and help shape how Synera goes to market in the US

- Pipeline Building: You qualify leads and set up meetings for the Account Executive team
- Prospect & Qualify: You engage senior leaders and decision-makers via cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls, reaching 60+ activities per day)
- Outbound Excellence: You shape and manage targeted outbound campaigns, working with the Marketing team to optimize messaging
- Engage & tell great stories: You spark interest in Synera’s Agentic AI solutions through compelling storytelling and value-driven conversations. You experiment and find creative ways to engage with senior leaders and build trustful relationships
- Iterate & Improve: You analyze outreach performance, test new approaches, and refine our SDR playbook
- ---In 6 months:
- You know our domain inside out: who our ideal customers are, what keeps them up at night, and how Synera solves their biggest challenges. You have become an AI native, and curiosity is what drives you daily
- You routinely create great Discovery Calls, proving you can turn outreach into meaningful conversations for our Sales team. You have gained great confidence in explaining and pitching a complex tech product
- You are a power user of our tools and workflows - from prospecting platforms to CRM systems. Giving and receiving feedback has become a normal part of your day
- You understand what makes our product special and be able to speak authentically about the value we bring to teams who want to transform what they do with AI. You love to share knowledge and good practices in an international team

Synera, formally known as Elise, is a German-founded engineering software company that develops platforms and tools for manufacturing companies. Off the back of the company's ethos to help engineers do more of what they love, Synera automates processes and leverages low-code, open and integrated software to help companies as large as BMW and Hyundai get more done faster.
Off the back of its 2026 funding, Synera has been enhancing its platform, strengthening deployment capabilities, and working to expand its customer base into new market regions, such as France. The company already claims to save engineers up to 90 percent in time savings on ad hoc tasks, enough incentive for the auto and travel manufacturing industry to invest in it. Interestingly, the Alfred Wegener Group, which conducts research in the Arctic and the Antarctic, is a parent company of Synera, influencing its core motive of improving engineering efficiency for time-sensitive work.
