Human Resource Generalist, Overair

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of leave administration, payroll, benefits administration, workers' compensation and HR recordkeeping
• Experience with onboarding and new hire orientation processes
• Knowledge of visa processing and immigration regulations is a plus
• PHR or SHRM-CP certifications are an advantage
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in HRIS (Rippling) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Assist in planning and organizing employee events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives
• Specific competencies include detail oriented, problem solving, action oriented, integrity, functional/technical skills, customer focus, learning on the fly
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Manage leave administration processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies while supporting employees during their leave periods and return to work
• Oversee visa processing and work closely with legal and external agencies to ensure seamless immigration processes and tracking for international hires
• Act as a backup to administer accurate and timely payroll processing, collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure precision
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, conducting orientations and ensuring smooth assimilation into the company culture
• Maintain meticulous records of employee information, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Oversee benefits administration, assisting employees with inquiries, enrollments, and changes
• Assist with the collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
• Assist in creating and maintaining HR reports and analytics to provide insights into various HR metrics
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, suggesting innovative approaches to enhance HR processes
• Assist with workplace incident investigations for workers' compensation, preparing detailed reports for insurance carriers, injured worker/health provider communications and recordkeeping
• Process all unemployment related claims
• Assist with the preparation of the performance review process and tracking
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns
• Support various HR projects and initiatives as needed
