Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in growth or lifecycle-focused product roles
- Proven success leading growth strategies in a B2C fintech or subscription environment
- Deep experience with A/B testing, funnel optimization, and data analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mode)
- Strong understanding of mobile product development, especially in high-frequency use cases
- Excellent business judgment with an ability to prioritize between quick wins and long-term bets
- Empathy for customers with financial stress and a desire to create responsible, mission-aligned growth
- Bonus: Experience in cash advance, lending, or other regulated financial products
What the job involves
- As the Director of Product, Growth, you’ll own the strategies and roadmaps that enable sustainable growth for Brigit, collaborating closely with our Marketing and Partnership leads
- You’ll lead a talented team of product managers to identify opportunities, run high-impact experiments, and scale features that deepen engagement and maximize customer lifetime value
- Your work will be a mix of bold bets and disciplined optimization: improving onboarding and conversion, and increasing repeat usage—all while keeping our mission of helping customers front and center
- Own the growth strategy for the product, aligning acquisition, activation, upgrade, and retention goals with company OKRs
- Optimize the onboarding journey to maximize conversion from app install through a user’s first-time experience with Brigit’s products: Instant Cash, Credit Builder, and our new Line of Credit offering
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Partnerships teams to improve paid and organic acquisition performance through landing pages, referrals, and integrated marketing technology
- Identify and scale monetization opportunities through pricing, subscription, and value-added services
- Improve retention and reactivation through personalized lifecycle messaging, feature adoption campaigns, and in-product user experience
- Mentor and develop PMs within the growth team, fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making and rapid iteration
- Balance growth and customer trust by ensuring product changes align with our mission and regulatory obligations
Our take
Brigit is an algorithm-based personal finance app that helps underserved financial customers maintain financial health. It offers a raft of protective services including cash bumps to fend off overdraft charges, budgeting tools, and interest-free emergency loans.
In spite of this financially-oriented spread, Brigit has no intention of expanding into neo-banking. This is smart, as it allows the company to focus on a broad range of banner services without stepping into the far more competitive digital banking sector. Brigit has successfully united these disparate features under a strong customer-forward and socially-impactful identity, which gives the company the freedom to expand its services in response to new banking trends without diluting its brand.
It means, too, that Brigit can complement new and legacy banking solutions, instead of competing for space. This careful positioning should shore Brigit up in a sector undergoing continual and swift change.
