Who you are

  • 6+ years experience in full funnel campaign management related to B2B marketing, campaigns marketing, field marketing, ABM marketing and/or product-led growth marketing in a global capacity
  • Experience with OEM selling motion preferred
  • Track record of creating successful campaigns for/with/through partners
  • Experience working with or leveraging partner ecosystems to execute campaign programs and impact full funnel goals including pipeline
  • Ability to build campaigns around a technical product that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences where relevant
  • Proven track record of developing & managing campaigns that lead to pipe gen and deal velocity through end-to-end campaigns
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and translate campaign metrics into insights
  • Experience with target account strategy and segmentation to build target lists for demand gen campaigns
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills with ability to present complex technical ideas in a simple, straightforward manner
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage a high volume of competing tasks and demands for a diverse group of stakeholders. Experience with Asana is a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, executing programs on time and within budget
  • Proven ability to collaborate as part of a cross functional team and also work autonomously
  • Sense of urgency, flawless attention to detail in execution, ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to a changing environment

Desirable

  • Experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau and ABM platforms (6sense) a plus
  • Field marketing experience, working with a direct sales team to drive pipeline and revenue needs for that territory/region
  • Hands-on experience working with external agencies and building & executing high visibility campaigns with a large group of stakeholders
  • Worked with media agencies, primarily those with tech brands respected by technical personas

What the job involves

  • Confluent is seeking a Senior OEM Field and Global Campaigns Manager to create and orchestrate full funnel campaigns for our OEM business. In this role, you will work closely with Product Marketing, Global Field Marketing, Partner Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to identify and engage prospects/customers with targeted campaigns and marketing activities that build pipeline and drive predictable revenue.​
  • To be a successful candidate you will have a proven track record in integrated campaign management with a blend of direct experience in partner marketing and field marketing. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented self-starter who has a passion for strategic thinking and world class execution, pipeline generation, experience in enterprise B2B, and a data-driven mindset
  • Lead global integrated campaign strategy, planning, and execution for Confluent’s OEM business, focused on driving pipeline and growing revenue globally
  • Develop persona-specific offers mapped across the customer journey to engage target audiences with the right content through the right channel; starts with the OEM customer experience first and then works backwards to understand the required field engagement, campaign, content and channel needs across all regions including localization and translation
  • Partner closely with our global field marketing teams to plan mid-to-lower funnel campaign related activations to accelerate opportunities and conversions
  • Manage campaign budget and related vendor onboarding, PO process, and related activities. Recommends OEM budget allocation and mix across all channels
  • Create and optimize OEM campaign nurture strategy and lead routing with partnering teams
  • Measure & optimize campaign performance against revenue growth goals, provide recommendations based on key drivers to improve engagement and conversion
  • Drive cross-channel efficiency and ensure maximum return on campaign investments
  • Provide OEM global campaign updates at marketing all-hands meetings and other forums on a regular basis
  • Work with enablement and operations to ensure Sales & SDRs are enabled to successfully follow up and pull through engagement with prospects from demand gen campaigns

Our take

Confluent is a commercial company built on top of the open-source Apache Kafka project. Confluent and Kafka have developed a streaming data technology that processes massive amounts of information in real-time.

The streaming database technology was developed at LinkedIn as a way of moving massive amounts of messages. The company decided to open-source that tech in 2011, and Confluent launched as the commercial arm in 2014.

While the base open-source component remains available for free download, it doesn’t include the additional tooling the company has built to make it easier for enterprises to use Kafka. Confluent's value add is in those additional tools, including a cloud version of the product and a marketplace for sharing extensions to the platform.

Confluent expanded strategic partnerships with Microsoft and acquired Immerok, and in 2023 expanded its cloud platform. 2024 saw further product expansions with the launch of the Confluent Migration Accelerator, all exemplifying how the company is living up to its name by rocket-boosting the benefits of Apache Kafka integration for companies.
