Role
Who you are
- Experience - 10+ years of experience leading high-impact events in a B2B environment, with proven ability to drive pipeline, revenue, and brand visibility
- A track record of owning complex event portfolios—from flagship conferences to executive programs—and delivering them flawlessly under pressure
- Demonstrated strength in managing and optimizing large-scale event budgets while consistently achieving or exceeding ROI targets
- Relentless focus on project management with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, teams, and priorities without sacrificing quality
- Fluency in latest event platforms and marketing tech, including Bizzabo, Zoom Webinars, HubSpot, and Salesforce
- Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Advertising, etc
- Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (i.e., Bizzabo, Zoom Webinars, HubSpot, and Salesforce)

What the job involves
- Altruist is entering a transformative phase of growth, and we’re looking for a Director of Event Marketing to help propel us into our next chapter
- Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this high-impact role will lead the strategy and execution of Altruist’s event programs across in-person and virtual formats
- You’ll oversee a team responsible for delivering our flagship user conference, hosted field events, tradeshows, and a series of virtual events - all designed to engage our audience, build brand affinity, and drive measurable pipeline impact
- Build and lead a high-velocity in-person and virtual events function, owning strategy and execution that align with go-to-market priorities, drive brand visibility, generate revenue through ticket sales and sponsorships, and deliver measurable ROI
- Strategically determine where we show up (and where we don’t), ensuring every event supports business goals and is tailored to our ICP
- Lead team in the end-to-end planning and execution of events—including the Altruist user conference, regional hosted events, virtual programs, and industry tradeshows—overseeing budgets, timelines, logistics, vendor management, on-site production, and promotion and post-event follow-up. Travel as needed to ensure flawless execution
- Craft impactful event programming with Content and Product Marketing teams that delivers thought leadership, showcases product innovation and builds community through high-value content
- Manage the full event marketing lifecycle, working cross-functionally with Growth, Creative, and Content to drive pre-event promotion, in-event engagement, and post-event follow-up and lead capture
- Define and track KPIs to measure pipeline impact, engagement, and ROI. Use post-event insights to optimize future programs and continuously improve performance
- Refine and scale event processes and playbooks to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and high-quality execution across all event formats
- Manage and evolve the event tech stack to support an AI-first, data-driven approach, while overseeing external agencies and production partners to ensure scalability, brand alignment, and strong ROI

Altruist brings an all-in-one platform to all IFAs, removing the need to use multiple programs to manage client accounts whilst bringing high quality assets to all investors, regardless of portfolio size.
Advisors can save time, compress costs and ultimately do more for their clients. Altruist operates a pricing model that scales up with the number of required accounts, unlike some competitor products such as Adviser and Intelliflo which charge a flat monthly subscription fee. Off the back of impressive funding, the company is set to expand its service offerings and support a wider range of RIAs as it becomes a truly comprehensive advising solution.
