What the job involves
- We are recruiting for an ambitious and motivated Account Executive (BDM / AE) to super charge our next stage of growth. Enabling digital transformation and modernisation for law firms, you’ll have ownership and autonomy across a full 360 sales role from prospecting and managing your pipeline, through to product demos and closing deals. Proactively hunting new opportunities, you will act as Legl’s representative across the market
- Embedding continuous learning into the core of your sales methodology, an AE will unlock genuine and meaningful challenges to law firms by clearly demonstrating Legl’s value and cross-functionally collaborating with teams to surface an understanding of our clients problems
- Managing End-To-End Sales Processes - driving new logo acquisition with full end-to-end exposure across the sales lifecycle from outreach to negotiation and close
- Articulate our Value Proposition - fully understand the complexity and challenges our customer face,, and embed yourself as a fountain of knowledge for both Legl’s products and the challenges facing law firms
- Pipeline & Forecasting - owning your own pipeline and forecasting, whilst understanding where to focus on closing opportunities and where to generate new business into your market

Our take
The legal industry is becoming increasingly dependent on technology, such as through analytical tools being used to pore through documents, and automation systems converting physical documents into digital content. Legl wants to transform the industry, bringing technology to its heart. The company's platform contains new tools for law firms to use, including improved systems for online payments, compliance, raising awareness around legal issues, and helping consumers have a better experience of the law.
Legl is not alone in this field: other SaaS companies, such as LawOn, are similarly aiming to streamline the legal process. However, legal tech is still in its infancy so there's definitely room for multiple players.
The biggest challenge facing Legl will be getting firms on side, especially the large firms that dominate most of the spend in the space. The legal industry is notoriously slow moving, so uptake might be slow initially. However, if Legl can fulfil its ambitions to help law firms grow and succeed in a digital-first world, there is no reason why it shouldn't see great success in the future.
