Who you are
- If you're ready to take your pre-sales career to the next level, the Dataiku Sales Engineering team would like to hear from you
- Strong intellectual curiosity especially around the application of technology to solve all kinds of problems
- Experience in technical pre-sales, preferably in a high-growth environment
- Experience in Analytics/AI or other enterprise software
- Experience in the data science, analytics, or big data markets, preferred but not required
- Familiarity with data storage and computing infrastructure for data of all sizes (SQL, NoSQL, Kubernetes, Spark, etc)
- Comfortability talking to all levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives
- Previously worked in a fast paced, growing company
- Bonus: bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
What the job involves
- Together, we've built a team that has closed some of Dataiku's most important sales with companies whose names you hear and products you use everyday
- We do it by working together to serve our customers in ways that ensure their success
- Qualify deals through collaboration with the account team including the Account Executive (AE), the Business Development Representative (BDR), and sales management
- Conduct Discovery meetings with prospects and customers to understand their relevant business objectives, technical environment, and desired future state
- Communicate Dataiku’s differentiated value proposition within the context of the competitive landscape
- Ideate Dataiku usage scenarios that would generate business value and achieve the customer’s desired business and technical objectives
- Design and deliver engaging Dataiku demonstrations that illustrate how to apply Dataiku to deliver the required customer value
- Design and lead POCs and evaluations for customers to effectively assess Dataiku’s ability to meet their business and technical objectives
- Answer questions and provide technical guidance to prospects and customers regarding their evaluation and use of Dataiku
- Assist in sales pipeline building activities including attendance at live and/or virtual trade-shows and industry conferences, working with marketing and or partners on campaign design and execution and other activities specified by sales and pre-sales management

Customers like Unilever, GE, and Comcast use Dataiku to accelerate growth and innovation by removing roadblocks and enabling faster, smarter work. Despite substantial funding in 2023, Dataiku faced a 20% lower valuation than in 2021, indicating challenges even for successful tech firms. Nonetheless, Dataiku launched its Dataiku 11 platform in 2022, continuing to enhance its offerings.
In 2024, Dataiku announced a strategic alliance with Teragonia, a leading provider of AI solutions for private equity portfolio value creation. This collaboration leverages Dataiku's AI capabilities to enhance Teragonia's real-time analytics and strategic agility, aiming to accelerate revenue growth and profitability for clients. This partnership reflects Teragonia's trust in Dataiku's technology and underscores the platform's ability to democratise data and empower private equity firms to unlock significant value.
