What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager on the Copilot team, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the AI assistant product embedded in Front’s inbox - the central place where teams triage, collaborate, and resolve high-stakes customer communication
- This role is central to Front’s strategy: embedding Copilot into the moments that matter most in the Inbox (summarize, prioritize, draft, classify, route, and learn) while maintaining the speed, quality, and trust required for customer-facing work
- In this role, you’ll set direction, work through ambiguity, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (engineering, design, marketing, data, sales) to deliver innovative yet intuitive solutions that meet customers’ needs and drive business impact
- This is a high visibility role that interfaces regularly with our executive team
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Front’s Copilot product, and how it can help our inbox users with their workflows. Make high-judgment decisions on priorities, tradeoffs, and sequencing to maximize impact
- Use quantitative (e.g. metrics, analytics) and qualitative (e.g. user feedback) data, market and user research, and strong product intuition to identify and prioritize opportunities to continuously improve the product
- Lead end-to-end product development from problem definition through launch and iteration
- Partner deeply with engineering and design to drive outcomes, and collaborate with a wide range of cross-functional partners (including marketing, data, sales and GTM)
- Drive clarity and alignment among key stakeholders across the organization, including executives and adjacent teams
Our take
When a business receives an email from a customer it can set off a chain of forwarded emails across the company, an inefficient process where information (and sales!) can easily get lost. Front exists to change this, consolidating all customer communications into a single shared inbox which can be accessed by teams of any size and completely eliminates the need for internal emails.
With more companies moving to remote working and eCommerce becoming the predominant form of conducting business, Front's product has been enthusiastically received by over 8,000 companies, including Mailchimp, Shopify and Convoy. However, it is by no means alone in this space, with huge competitors such as Google and Microsoft providing communications solutions and other internal communications tools such as Slack gaining traction. Front may have an edge here, though: its unified solution also provides automated workflows, ticketing and analytical tools that are either absent or less well integrated in competing offerings.
In 2022, Front raised investments in a Series D round and achieved unicorn status with a valuation of over $1 billion. Now with $100 million in annual recurring revenue, it's moving to further develop its product and increase its market share, hiring new talent ahead of a possible IPO in the near future.
