Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting (in-house or agency), with a proven track record of hiring senior engineers and engineering managers
- Experience supporting early-stage or high-growth startups
- Deep sourcing experience—you know how to find and engage talent in competitive markets
- Confidence managing multiple reqs at once and prioritizing effectively
- A collaborative, low-ego approach—you enjoy partnering with hiring managers and iterating based on feedback
- Proficiency in Greenhouse ATS, and sourcing tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
What the job involves
- Contract type: 1099, 6-month term with potential to extend
- We’re looking for a Contract Technical Recruiter to help us scale our team through the end of the year. This is a fully remote, 6-month contract role that is high-impact, focused on hiring top-tier technical talent, primarily software engineers and engineering managers
- You’ll take ownership of our technical hiring efforts across Product and Engineering, collaborating closely with hiring managers and founders. You’ll work directly with our Head of People to support priority roles and ensure timely progress across open roles, and serve as a partner to our hiring managers
- Full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, from sourcing to closing
- Partnering with engineering leadership to understand hiring needs, define role requirements, craft compelling job descriptions, and shape interview processes
- Building strong, diverse candidate pipelines through direct outreach and effective sourcing strategies
- Source, screen, and manage candidate pipeline for multiple roles at a time
- Running efficient, timely, and human-centered interview processes that leave a great impression, even on candidates we don’t hire
- Collaborate with the People Ops to ensure smooth onboarding handoffs
Our take
Data breaches can be detrimental to companies, particularly when they regard the leaking of sensitive data such as private keys and login credentials. However, such breaches are common and can be difficult to identify due to the vast range of platforms and SaaS that modern businesses use, often resulting in leaks only being identified when it's too late to prevent.
Truffle Security provides a software tool named TruffleHog that identifies and remediates sensitive information that has leaked within a business's digital infrastructure, running scans automatically to catch vulnerable data before it leaks. The software integrates within major SaaS platforms such as Slack, AWS, Gmail, and Github, also offering bespoke integration services for unique business infrastructures.
Whilst many cybersecurity platforms can identify the source of data leaks early to minimize their impact, Truffle Security has recognized that this is often too little too late. By constantly scanning business environments behind the scenes, the company shows great potential to disrupt the data protection market by completely preventing data leaks and thus removing the need for recovery specialists.
