Role
Who you are
- 9+ years of related experience in project management or leading engineering/product development
- 9+ years of experience in energy project construction
- Resourceful and collaborative team player capable of working effectively with multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering or a physical science
What the job involves
- Form Energy is hiring a Senior Staff Project Manager to drive the success of early project deployments
- This role reports into our Project Engineering team which is part of the Commercial Operations organization
- The team is instrumental in designing, building, commissioning, and operating utility-scale storage projects and will be invaluable in scaling Form’s breakthrough multi-day storage technology
- You will lead project deployment and work closely with EPC partners and customers externally and with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics internally

- Manage and track project budget, schedule, and scope, including change management
- Track project milestones and communicate project design and performance status to customers and other project partners
- Be the main customer contact from Form Energy, responsible for outward communication and ongoing customer support, including contractual, technical and strategic matters
- Support the business development team’s contract structuring, negotiations, and deal evaluations
- Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and execute mitigation actions as well as establishing a reporting process for budget visibility
- Manage outside vendor and contractor relationships from procurement through delivery and payment
- Travel to client or project sites up to 30% of the time

A completely electrical infrastructure is restricted by the inherent limitation that electrical energy is difficult and costly to store. Form Energy, however, has created a reliable battery that has the capacity to revolutionise how we use electricity.
Revolutionising battery storage is at the core of Form Energy’s approach to making renewable energy universal. Form Energy’s battery uses Iron-air technology that currently offers energy storage capacities and operational costs comparable to legacy power plants. In addition to improvements in cost and consistent electricity access, Form Energy’s batteries are scalable, portable, and safe - offering a unique approach to revolutionising renewable energy storage towards a greener future.
Although renewable energy storage technology remains an emerging industry, a variety of competitors are also driving developments of battery storage technology. However, Form Energy continues to be a key leader in this space, bagging significant investment that will enable it to build its first manufacturing plant and begin selling to customers. Form Energy's progress is highlighted by a deal with Xcel Energy to deploy iron-air battery systems at two of its retiring coal plant sites and with Puget Sound Energy in 2024, to help the company deploy multi-day energy storage systems.
