Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring exceptional Technical talent for various positions and levels within the company
- Previous strong experience with full cycle technical recruitment from job description to offer stage with experience recruiting for a variety of roles and levels
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment especially with an understanding of the needs and expectations of a high performing Engineering team
- Ability to speak to technical candidates “in their language” and an understanding of our tech stack
- Experience in working to improve processes and procedures to best streamline a recruitment process in an agile way
- Ideally you will have a technical or engineering background/ relevant degree but this is not essential
- Excellent written and verbal English, any other European language is a plus
What the job involves
- We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic Talent Team in Pliant
- This role involves close collaboration with hiring managers up to CTO level to ensure the recruitment process aligns with the company’s goals and culture
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality Engineering and Technical candidates in Germany and across Europe
- Utilise job boards, social media, and networking events
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (Bamboo)
- Review CVs and applications as per team and company requirements
- Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interviews for roles from Individual Contributor to C level
- Assist in interview panels and candidate assessments
- Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates' skills and cultural fit
- Provide feedback and recommendations to hiring managers
- Promote the company as an employer of choice through various channels
- Participate in job fairs, career events, and networking opportunities
- Develop relationships with educational institutions and professional organisations
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with European employment laws
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition
- Assist with improving the recruitment process

The corporate credit card industry, historically dominated by giants like AmEx, has seen rapid disruption and growth over recent years. An influx of VC investment boosted smaller outfits like Divvy and Brex Inc. to multi-billion dollar operations, and this has cracked open the market to a host of smaller fintech startups.
Pliant is a German company entering the scene, but it’s a competitive one. It's hoping to stand out by prioritising seamless software integrations, competitive cashback, and a new optional feature offsetting travel-related CO2 emissions. The latter is incredibly novel and has undoubtedly won the company some press in an increasingly sustainability-oriented climate.
Pliant’s offering of both physical and digital cards, as well as its suite of advantages and services, has enabled the company to successfully adapt to the growing payments market. The company has, thus far, entered seven additional European markets and expanded its customer portfolio sixfold. Following successful funding rounds, Pliant is set to further expand operations and its business reach, with a focus on the US.
