People & Business Operations Associate, Isla

• Experience in an Operations, People, HR, Recruitment or Business Support role, ideally within a startup or scale-up environment
• Experience managing recruitment processes across multiple business functions, using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, with a passion for delivering an exceptional candidate experience
• Outstanding organisational skills, excellent communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying opportunities to improve processes and make teams more effective
• Confidence learning and adopting new technologies, with experience using modern workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Coda/Notion and HRIS platforms. You're excited about using AI to improve productivity and simplify repetitive work
• A proactive mindset - you take ownership, spot problems before others do and see things through to completion

• We're looking for a brilliantly organised, proactive and ambitious Operations Associate to join Isla's Operations team and help us build an exceptional company
• Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, attracting top-tier talent, and streamlining operational processes to facilitate the rapid growth of the company

• His position is crucial for driving operational excellence and ensuring our continued success as we continue on our journey to transform healthcare
• You'll work across recruitment, people operations, business systems and day-to-day operations. You'll become one of the people everyone at Isla relies on to solve problems, improve processes and ensure the business runs efficiently behind the scenes. No two weeks look the same. One day you might be launching a new hiring campaign, the next improving an internal process, coordinating company events, managing software systems or helping onboard new team members
• You'll report directly to our Operations Director and work closely with every function across the business, including Finance, Sales, Delivery, Product, Engineering
• Operations sits at the heart of Isla. We help the business scale by creating efficient processes, supporting our people, enabling hiring, maintaining compliance and ensuring the day-to-day running of the company is smooth and effective
• This role offers significant exposure across the business and the opportunity to develop rapidly as Isla continues to grow
• Over the next 12 months, your responsibilities will include:
• Manage end-to-end recruitment across multiple live vacancies, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience from application through to offer
• Produce engaging job descriptions and recruitment campaigns that attract exceptional candidates
• Source candidates through LinkedIn and other platforms
• Monitor recruitment metrics and continuously improve hiring performance
• Strengthen Isla's employer brand across careers pages, job boards and social media
• Support employees with day-to-day people queries and requests
• Organise company socials, quarterly meetups and team events
• Keep internal documentation and knowledge bases accurate and up to date
• Coordinate learning sessions, wellbeing initiatives and employee benefits
• Coordinate user access, supplier administration and renewals across business systems and software platforms we use across the company
• Manage business insurance renewals and assist with compliance activities
• Provide operational support across people, finance, compliance and wider business operations, helping teams work efficiently as we scale
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve, automate and simplify internal processes
• Contribute ideas that help Isla scale efficiently as a company, while making it a truly excellent place to work

• Video interview - short async recorded video
• Screening call with Meg - 15 minutes
• Practical task - 30 minutes
• Interview with Meg and Katia - 30 minutes
• Final interview with our CEO Pete - 30 minutes
