Senior Security Engineer, Taskrabbit

• The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical security generalist with a proven track record in securing modern, cloud-native environments
• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering
• Experience securing cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and proficient with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding principles
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, or detection pipelines (e.g. Crowdstrike, Datadog, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting/automation languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, etc.)

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our lean and high-impact team. Reporting directly to the Security Engineering Manager, you will work collaboratively with two other engineers. You'll be responsible for owning and executing technical security initiatives across our dynamic, cloud-native infrastructure, driving security improvements at speed and scale
• Design and implement technical security controls aligned to CIS requirements
• Integrate security into CI/CD and infrastructure pipelines
• Build and maintain security automation for detection, response, and evaluate new security technologies and tools
• Respond to security alerts, lead incident response investigations, and support requests in an on-call rotation
• Drive vulnerability management and system hardening
• Contribute to security documentation, risk assessments, and policy development
• Manage and maintain IT security infrastructure and participate in IT asset security reviews
• Known for your execution velocity, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to lead by example, you will make a significant impact on our security posture
