What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing Product team
- Product Managers drive product optimizations and features, from independently run experiments to major product decisions
- Backed by strong analytical skills and business acumen, and inspired both by our loyal community, our PMs develop insights that lead to new ideas and work with our best in class engineering, data science and operations teams to build Hungryroot’s next beloved feature
- This role will report to our Director of Product and will embolden our mission to serve as our customers’ personal assistant for healthy living, helping them feel better on a daily basis and have more time to do what they love
- A natural extension of our current focus is to better support the full spectrum of our customers’ wellness goals: nutrition, fitness, sleep, mental, emotional, social, and environmental
- In doing so, we will become more deeply integrated into our customers’ lives, and we’ll generate a self-reinforcing flywheel that builds continuous momentum and enhances customer value
- Drive product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
- Establish the product vision and strategy for your product set/feature
- Build alignment across all cross-functional stakeholders and leadership team
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research to explore and validate feature ideas
- Partner with product designers to ensure delightful user experience
- Work with engineers to help guide feature development
- Perform experiment analysis on features and find opportunities for optimization
Our take
Hungryroot is a grocery and meal kit service looking to revolutionize the end-to-end grocery experience. Its platform uses proprietary AI tech to personalize and predict grocery orders, whilst helping customers meet personal goals like trying new foods or losing weight.
The grocery market has historically been resistant to digitization, but as it begins to get on board with eCommerce there’s real space for innovation. An efficient and predictive grocery solution like Hungryroot is certainly unique, and possibly highly attractive in a market where speedy and personalized service remain customer priorities.
Especially promising is Hungryroot’s strong customer retention figures, which puts it in good stead. It has rapidly expanded despite challenges such as labor shortages, supply chain disruptions, and inflation. By placing a continued focus on customer experience, it has the chance to continue growing in the coming years.
