Keeping tabs on underground cables and pipes is tough work and leaks, tampering, and damage can often go unnoticed, leading to big problems. Because of this, traditional monitoring tools are often not ideal, making work expensive and hard to scale.
Lightsonic is stepping in to fix this issue with its software that turns existing fiber optic cables into real-time sensors using AI (no new hardware needed!). It spots issues like gas leaks or intrusions quickly and across wide areas so cities and industries can focus on what matters most, keeping people safe and systems running smoothly.
In 2025, the company raised substantial funding, too. With this, it's growing its team and rolling out across Europe, and with big backing, it's set to shake up how cities and industries manage their infrastructure.
