Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience working on cloud-hosted infrastructure
- Understanding of best practices for performance, security, scalability, and availability in distributed systems
- Professional experience with Azure and AWS
- Experience developing solutions to challenging technical problems
- Interest in determining and applying appropriate technical designs to solve user needs
- Familiarity with creating alerting and monitoring for web site applications
- Strong understanding of networking and security principles
- Experience with SQL Server
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code with preferred experience using Terraform
Desirable
- Experience with web-based systems
- A passion for learning and improving
- Experience working with large and complex datasets and/or other distributed data processing systems
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and containerization
- Experience building reliable systems that handle large transactional volume

- Your contributions will be integral to our success by driving innovation and excellence every step of the way
- Triage and resolve production issues with careful assessment of impact on infrastructure or service operations
- Design and execute resilient solutions to problems
- Participate in planning and design discussions
- Contribute significantly to the team's platform engineering commitments
- Review code and platform changes made by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
- Provide technical ownership for a number of systems maintained by the team
- Drive improvement in the design and quality of our platform
