Role
Who you are
- 1-3 years of direct B2B sales experience
- Comfortability and eagerness to conduct heavy prospecting both via phone and email
- A sense of urgency and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourcefulness and results driven operating style
- Fluency with different sales tools and technologies
- Familiarity with construction industry is a plus
- Selling financial/lending products to businesses is a strong plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Development Representative to help us grow our customer base of Subcontractors that utilize our financial product, EPP
- You will be responsible for contacting new prospects and booking meaningful discovery calls that highlight the benefits that our Early Pay Program can bring to them during their growth and expansion
- Create new business opportunities with key decision makers through heavy outbound prospecting
- Books 25+ discovery calls per month with SMB subcontractors
- Work closely with marketing to engage and optimize on inbound leads
- Understand key features and value proposition of our EPP product offering
- Convey feedback to marketing and sales teams to represent the voice of the customer
- Perform analysis of inbound and outbound prospects and engage with these prospects by phone and/or email
- Apply effective communication skills, collaborating directly with customers, business development and cross functional teams
- Work in a fast-pace environment, take the initiative to get stuff done, try new things and amplify your successes by sharing your findings with your team
- Utilize Hubspot to properly track activity
Our take
Large construction projects take a long time to finish, and subcontractors can get caught up in the flow of money, waiting up to 80 days to be paid by general contractors. Such situations not only lead to project delays but also impose the burden of financing their project segments onto subcontractors. However, Constrafor has set out to change this through its SaaS construction procurement platform.
It streamlines information and documentation for how general contractors work with subcontractors and assumes the risk for the subcontractor invoice, freeing up cash flow. The general contractor then reimburses Constrafor for the invoice; its revenue is based on taking in about 2% of the value of the invoice.
Given that construction companies typically allocate less than 1.5% of their revenue to technology investments, Constrafor find itself in substantial demand, It stands out by offering tailored solutions, designed and developed on behalf of these companies. Bolstered by recent funding, secured through a SAFE note, Constrafor is poised to elevate its operations, effectively facilitating crucial functions like payroll management and other pivotal aspects of the construction process.
