Role
Who you are
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in finance or accounting administration, ideally within an SME or fast-paced business
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
- Understanding of month-end reporting, invoicing, payroll, and reconciliation processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when checking data, invoices, and payments
- Confidence handling multiple accounts, suppliers, and client payments simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
- Clear, professional communication skills for liaising with clients, partners, and internal teams
- Discretion when handling confidential payroll and employee information
- Demands high standards of accuracy and consistency
- Part-time - ideally 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week), but working pattern can be discussed - £35,000 full time equivalent

- Experience preparing grant applications and claims (desirable but not essential)
What the job involves
- Managing client and partner invoicing through Xero, including bulk approvals and email distribution
- Preparing and maintaining month-end reports (internal revenue reports, commission fee reports)
- Supporting payroll administration – collecting payroll data, checking payslips, processing payments, and updating employee benefits (e.g., salary sacrifice schemes)
- Handling bookkeeping tasks including uploading receipts and invoices to Dext and reconciling transactions
- Managing grant funding processes, from writing applications to submitting quarterly claims
- Overseeing supplier and client payments, including expense claims, international payments, and ad-hoc supplier invoices
- Reconciling early return payments for vehicles and ensuring accurate client payments and record-keeping
- Maintaining accurate financial documentation and supporting audit/compliance requirements
