Engineering Manager, Zivver

• 6+ years of front-end development experience with a strong grasp of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks (React or Angular preferred)
• 2+ years in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams (front-end, back-end, QA, DevOps)
• Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and managing agile teams
• Strong knowledge of front-end architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Experience collaborating with back-end, DevOps, and data engineering teams on end-to-end system design

• As Engineering Manager, you will lead several cross-functional Product & Engineering (P&E) teams comprising front-end, back-end, QA, scrum masters, DevOps, and data engineers
• You will be hierarchically responsible for these roles, ensuring smooth collaboration and delivery across the stack
• Your leadership will be critical in enabling the team to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions
• In addition to your formal leadership duties, you will serve as an informal leader for front-end development across the entire company, guiding the implementation of best practices, driving innovation, and maintaining architectural consistency
• Develop and enhance team performance within your span of control through effective mentoring, regular performance reviews, and personalized development plans, including fostering leadership skills in others
• Oversee the hiring process and onboarding of new team members, ensuring their integration and personal development within the organization
• Adopt and promote agile methodologies and software engineering best practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Facilitate collaboration and communication across teams, including Product, Design, and customer-facing teams, to align priorities and ensure a focus on delivering customer value
• Collaborate with other engineering managers and the VP of Engineering on initiatives that impact the entire engineering organization, such as recruitment and mentorship programs
• Lead and drive Product & Engineering initiatives that create organization-wide impact, advocating for the priority of architectural roadmap items and collaborating with all teams across Zivver
