Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or other relevant degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one HR experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office software
- Working knowledge of UKG products preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
- Exceptional customer services focus including attention to producing quality results
What the job involves
- HR Specialist is responsible for supporting HRIS, compliance, benefits administration, talent acquisition and FMLA administration for the Nevada, Colorado and Missouri properties
- Develops and conducts processes to ensure all HR/HRIS processes are done accurately and in accordance with property policies, state regulations and SOX narratives
- Serves as property subject matter expert on HRIS, benefits, FMLA and compliance. Ensure data integrity; including the ability to ensure, proper coding of data input to maintain system accuracy, and to allow for appropriate troubleshooting and system analysis when errors are detected
- Maintains company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and makes alterations to existing programs to gather and report data as necessary
- Administers LOA’s; personal, medical and FMLA leaves in conjunction with company policies and Federal/State FMLA and HIPAA guidelines. Maintain LOA files and ensure all necessary documentation is generated and collected for FMLA leaves
- Oversees the administration and corresponding documents of benefits programs; to include assisting in annual open enrollment planning
- Act as company point of contact on 401k matters, benefit enrollments, and team member communications
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
