Who you are
- The successful candidate will be a collaborative developer, who takes pride not just in the pragmatism of their solutions, but the quality of their code
- We are looking for someone who prioritises creative problem solving, structured logical thinking, has a baseline fluency in code and recognises the importance of working in a close knit squad
- ASP.NET Core MVC, C#
- SQL and Entity Framework

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Graduate Software Developer to join our team at IMP Software. Software Developers work on cross functional teams to deliver solutions such as IMP Planner and ICFP
- Design, develop, and test software solutions in our tech stack including ASP.Net, MVC, C#, SQL
- Collaborate with a team of peers, applying agile practices such as pair programming and code reviews
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as planning and refinement
- Collaborate with product, development, and test specialists to model solutions for development
- Participate in exploratory work such as spikes to explore new technology, patterns, and opportunities
- Diagnose and resolve third line support issues
- Develop to maintainability standards
- Develop to security standards
- Develop to agreed data access patterns, including Entity Framework and migrations
Our take
IMP Software was an idea brought to life by founders Will Jordan and Dave Hall. They realised firsthand that Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) finance solutions were heavily directed toward schools and not the Trusts themselves. This was problematic as MATs are not simply collections of schools, but instead organisations with many moving parts.
The company has developed both budget management software and integrated curriculum & financial planning software. This enables clients to easily unify data, run multi-level reporting, and ensure the effective deployment of resources across a trust so they can build the best curriculum it can afford.
With this MAT-first approach, IMP Software has secured 300+ trusts and 4000+ schools (41% of market share) as clients, including the likes of Prince Regent Street Trust.
