Who you are

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java backend development; familiarity with Kotlin is a plus
Hands-on expertise in software engineering with Spring/Spring Boot, Git, Maven, Docker, and Jenkins
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs & microservices
Proven track record of building high-quality customer solutions in an agile environment
Full involvement in the software development lifecycle, embracing a DevOps mindset ("you build it, you run it")
Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration within your team and across departments to deliver high-value solutions for stakeholders and merchants
Strong command of the English language

Desirable

Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies
Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Apache Kafka)
Experience with Kotlin

As a Software Engineer (m/f/d) at Ratepay, you will make a significant contribution to our shared mission of building and developing secure and simple payment solutions for the online retail market, which still continues to grow
Drive the development, operation, and continuous improvement of our systems
Integrate internal and external APIs within a microservice architecture
Provide tools and metrics to effectively monitor both technical and business KPIs
