Our take
Healthcare services, particularly in Europe, are struggling with stalling government funding while increasingly complex systems soak up resources. elmeas wants to relieve some of this pressure with a healthcare technology system built from first principles.
That will mean reimagining everything from the integration of siloed patient data to the UI of tools used by doctors every day. The company's approach involves three products - a patient app, a research portal and doctor's portal - working in tandem to bring an entirely new system to this space.
While the ambition of elmeas is certainly worthy, many startups have attempted to reshape the role of technology systems in healthcare - only to find necessarily thrifty budget-holders blocking their paths. So, the company will have to overcome this inertia in order to have success.
