Who you are
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, consulting, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Solid understanding of financial statements and financial modeling
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to assess current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability is a strong plus
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Power BI is a plus
- Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry

What the job involves
- Nexamp is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our growing team
- This position will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for assisting with capital planning, forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and other ad hoc projects
- This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals
- We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team
- You will be hybrid out of our Boston office and will report to the Manager, Finance
- Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting, ensuring timely and accurate updates to financial models
- Analyze operational results and assess the financial impact of business decisions
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor company and departmental performance
- Partner cross-functionally with business units to understand drivers of performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Prepare and present monthly and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses to leadership
- Partner with Finance & Treasury to assist in cash flow forecasting and cash management strategies
- Continuously improve and streamline financial models, tools, and processes
- Support special projects including strategic planning, cost optimization, and investment analysis
