Role
Who you are
- With monitoring and APM tools (e.g. Grafana/Prometheus/DataDog/Splunk or others)
- Working with cloud - we use AWS
- Scaling up a web application and asynchronous job system
- Working/or would like to work in a product focused environment
What the job involves
- We are looking for our 3rd DevOps Engineer, who will work closely with our team of 300+ engineers to define performance and metrics standards and tooling
- You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that consists of two Frontend engineers, two Backend engineers and another DevOps Engineer
- Evangelising SRE practices across our engineering team
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand where we can proactively improve the reliability of our application, as well as helping to scale production resources so that they are efficient
- Helping us to define performance and metrics standards
- Setting up tooling and monitoring for the metrics, responding to surfacing issues and opportunities and defining the engineering guidelines
- You will be overseeing how production management would look like from application perspective
- Collaborating with a Application Security Engineer and a DevOps Engineer, while reporting to our Lead
Application process
- You will first have a general chat with Rémi (Technical Recruiter) : 30 min
- You'll then have a live Technical interview with Thierry (Co-founder & Lead Dev) and Andrei (DevOps Engineer) : 1h
- At Last, a final interview with Quentin, our CTO and one of our Engineering Managers : 1 H
Our take
In multiple mature markets, companies have been using QuickBooks, Xero and other SaaS solutions for accounting, but it is a fragmented industry with each country using its own software solution. In France, there is no definitive SaaS solution for accounting.
Pennylane wants to overhaul current tools and modernise the tech stack of accounting firms, by connecting directly with third-party services that hold valuable information. Accounting firms can use Pennylane collaboratively by accessing the platform to centralise receipts, create invoices and automate tasks. Instead of sending information back and forth with spreadsheets and photo attachments, both clients and accounting firms can interact directly on the platform.
Pennylane has a significant market opportunity ahead, with an ambitious goal to become the preferred management platform for European companies. The company already claims an impressive number of customers and strong backing which will allow it to further develop its platform and expand to other markets in Europe.
