Who you are
- Proven UI/UX Experience: We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design. Your journey should include a portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and showcases your ability to create intuitive and impactful user interfaces
- Are Proficient with Design Tools: While we mainly use Figma, your expertise with any design software that enables you to create intuitive and impactful designs is appreciated
- Possess a Driven and Creative Mindset: Your ambition, creativity, and problem-solving abilities are what we value most. We’re looking for someone who is eager to take on new challenges and drive innovation in our products
- Value Skills Over Degrees: Your educational background is less important to us than your design skills, creativity, and portfolio
- Are Flexible and Adaptable: As part of a dynamic startup environment, being adaptable and open to evolving project needs is key to our collaborative success
What the job involves
- Lead UI/UX Overhaul for Dexter Mobile: Take the helm in redesigning and enhancing Dexter Mobile, our flagship product designed to streamline tasks for nurses. Your creative vision and design skills will play a crucial role in making healthcare more efficient and user-friendly
- Collaborate with a Dynamic Team: Engage closely with a small, agile team, including knowledgeable founders and skilled mobile developers. This role is ideal for designers who thrive in a collaborative environment where every team member's input is valued
- Design with Empathy and Insight: Utilize the rich insights gathered from our team's extensive interaction with users and stakeholders. Your designs will be informed by deep understanding, shaping user experiences that are both intuitive and impactful
- Flexibility in Your Creative Approach: We encourage you to bring your preferred design tools and methodologies to the table. Whether it's through Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or other platforms, your ability to translate ideas into designs is what counts
- Participate in a Collaborative Design Process: Contribute to an evolving and dynamic design process. Your perspective and feedback will be instrumental in refining our design strategies and delivering exceptional product experiences
Our take
Dexter Health is a German health-tech founded in 2021 by a doctor and a tech engineer. Its main product is an AI-powered voice assistant built for hospitals and care facilities, helping staff manage tasks, communicate, and log information hands-free.
Unlike consumer voice assistants, specifically for healthcare, with privacy and sensitivity in mind. It works quietly in the background, without screens or intrusive monitors, and is fully aligned with EU data protection standards.
While the use of AI in healthcare may raise ethical concerns, Dexter shows real promise, having been tested in real care settings and continues to run in pilot projects. With a focus on responsible design, the company aims to ease staff workloads and make everyday healthcare more efficient.
