Engineering Manager, Valimail

• 1+ years of professional experience leading an engineering team and working closely with a product organization
• 1+ years of professional managing 3+ engineers
• 4+ years of professional experience building features in Ruby on Rails
• Experience working in Agile development methodology
• Strong self-motivation

Desirable

• We are looking for a hands-on engineering manager to lead our customer facing web application team. You will be managing 4-5 engineers who work in Ruby on Rails in our Enforce and Monitor products to enable our customers to and beyond DMARC Enforcement
• Your day to day will range from 10-80% hands on development work depending on the needs of the team. We have a strong engineering-product relationship and expect you to partner with your dedicated product manager to build the best possible products for our customers
• Lead and manage a team of 4-5 Engineers responsible for our customer facing web application including:
• Driving team prioritize and advocating for technical improvements to the platform
• Coaching and enabling the team to come to the best solutions to proposed problems
• Providing regular feedback and performance evaluation, along with career development conversations, consistent with organizational practices
• Partner with Product and Design to enable the team to build features that will drive business growth
• Engage hands-on in developing software alongside your team (this could range from 10-80% on a daily basis)
• Partner with QA, SRE and our Principal Engineer to deliver high quality, scalable software
• Provide high level estimations to business stakeholders when necessary
