Who you are

5+ years of product management experience with at least 2+ years for a dev-tool product (MLOps/DevOps/Software Observability would be great)
OR
3+ years of experience leading the delivery of Machine Learning Platform capabilities (ideally leading the effort company-wide)
Background in Software Development, preferably experience in coding in Java or Python or background as a DevOps Engineer
Understanding of the DevOps or MLOps space
Experience from an early-stage startup environment
The ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, including market and user research, user feedback, and industry trends, to drive decision-making and influence the strategy and roadmap
Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
Experience managing small teams
Availability to work in EMEA time zones

What the job involves

Take ownership of the product strategy and execution of the roadmap for the Operations area (model registry, production monitoring)
Talk to our users and customers to understand their needs
Make data-driven decisions - collect, analyze, and integrate user insights and market data into product requirements
Continuously iterate - deliver quickly, gather feedback, identify areas for improvements, and manage the time and resources to keep the development process effective
Work with other product managers, designers, technical writers, and software engineers
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver maximum customer value and a cohesive user experience

Our take

Teams that work with machine learning models often struggle coordinating their activities, and it can be hard to make the exact datasets being used, code versions, hardware and other metadata match up. This leaves quite a mess for teams which needs to be manually untangled if a bug arises.

Neptune.ai hopes to bring the same tools to machine learning as are used by most software development teams in other fields. It provides a collaborative platform which includes tools for data observability and orchestration. It's also the central source of truth for all machine learning metadata used by a company, which makes locating and fixing issues far easier for engineers. This has been seized on with alacrity by numerous machine learning teams: over 30,000 engineers in around 500 teams have logged millions of hours on the platform since its founding.

Neptune has raised a significant amount of funding which is being used to further develop the platform, as well as to build out more integrations within the machine learning development ecosystem. It is also hiring extensively as it aims to scale its operations with the goal of becoming the machine learning operations standard for data scientists and engineers worldwide.
