Role
Who you are
- Have 4-6 years of experience as a full stack engineer in building mobile and web applications
- Developed and deployed production quality code in tech stacks - Python, React + Redux, React Native JavaScript/Typescript with any backend frameworks like Django/Flask, MySQL/NoSQL, designing and integrating RESTful APIs, Unit/integration testing experience
- The ability to write performant and optimized code for external-facing mobile/web applications
- Excellent debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience deploying applications in AWS cloud or other public clouds is desirable
- Prior experience partnering and collaborating with product, design and development teams is essential
- Have excellent communication skills and can explain complex technical problems in an accessible and compassionate way
Desirable
- Experience working on early-stage startups and ability to talk to us about growing pains resulting from early technical decisions
- Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow
- Knowledge or experience with data science and/or machine learning
- An interest or experience with healthcare and/or electronic health records
What the job involves
- As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be a crucial part of delivering new and innovative technology solutions
- Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
- Architect & develop production-quality code and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
- Work in Python, React, React Native, Typescript, JavaScript, AWS cloud environment leveraging services like lambdas, Cognito etc., CI/CD using GHA
- Collaborate with the Product team and the engineers creating reliable functionalities & UI
- Employ and ensure best practices and embrace the latest mobile/web technologies in developing and maintaining mobile/web product platforms
- Ensure app performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities
Our take
Diana Health partners with hospitals and health systems, and leverages its online platform, to bring better women’s health outcomes; particularly in pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal wellbeing. The 2019-founded startup is also building its own locations throughout the US with an aim to expand its physical footprint rapidly over the coming years.
The company’s launch and initial fundraise came as maternal health in the US fell under the spotlight. More women die from childbirth in the US than in any other developed country, and worryingly, these figures have doubled since the turn of the 21st century. By working with its network of women’s health practices, Diana is able to deliver a more holistic, individual wellbeing-focused care program, in turn resulting in better health outcomes.
Given the pressure to improve women’s health services across the US, Diana Health could be on the cusp of a period of huge growth. New capital will certainly help it along, as it invests on bringing its care model to new communities across the US and expanding its digital offerings.
