Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in technical product marketing, with a focus on B2B software or enterprise solutions
- Strong understanding of enterprise software markets, with knowledge of cloud, SaaS, and data infrastructure technologies (experience with platforms like Snowflake, MongoDB, or Databricks is a plus)
- Demonstrated success in launching and growing products in competitive markets, with proven experience driving go-to-market strategies from concept to execution
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner for diverse audiences
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across product, marketing, and sales teams
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making and measuring marketing success
Desirable
- Experience working with enterprise-level customers and understanding their unique buying processes
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and product analytics platforms
- A technical background or hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data management, or infrastructure technologies
What the job involves
- As the Product Marketing Manager, you will own the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for Ditto’s products
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including product management, sales, and customer success—to ensure a cohesive strategy that drives customer adoption, supports sales enablement, and enhances our competitive differentiation
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for technical product launches, ensuring alignment across all teams and channels
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling and differentiated product messaging that clearly communicates value propositions to target audiences, including technical and business users
- Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the tools, content, and training needed to effectively sell the product, including sales decks, battle cards, and competitive analysis
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. Use this knowledge to shape product positioning and marketing strategies
- Customer Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from customers, sales teams, and market research to provide insights to product development, ensuring that the product roadmap aligns with customer needs
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the content team to develop high-impact marketing collateral, such as case studies, white papers, product videos, and webinars
- Campaigns & Demand Generation: Work with the demand generation team to plan and execute targeted campaigns that drive awareness, generate leads, and boost product adoption
- Metrics & Performance: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for product marketing activities, ensuring that goals are met and strategies are optimized for success
Our take
While it's convenient to assume that all the data an app needs is always located in a single place, the reality is more messy. Multi-cloud platforms, IoT devices with varied or limited connectivity and even smartphones can hold necessary data for many applications. The problem for developers is how to tame, access and use this data. Ditto exists to fix this, providing a distributed database that pulls and synchronises data from edge devices and the cloud.
Able to operate even in locations without internet, using peer-to-peer WiFi, Bluetooth and wired networks to pull data together, it is provides a layer of infrastructure which is increasingly required as IoT picks up steam. However, it is not the only entrant in this growing market, and faces competition from the likes of Whalesync, PieSync and Grouparoo.
While most of these companies provide the same kind of functionality, Ditto's large and growing customer base in the tens of thousands (including the likes of the US Air Force, Lufthansa and Japan Airlines) indicates that its product is a strong competitor in this space. It has also attracted the attention of investors, most recently closing a hefty Series A round. It intends to use this funding to almost double its headcount and to focus on commercializing its product.
