Who you are

A minimum of 5 years of investigative or Assurance work experience with specific emphasis on AML preferably in KYC and / or Transaction Monitoring
Related professional certifications are highly preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills including superior verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to multi-task, adapt well to changing priorities and effectively prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and changing environment; must work well under pressure
The ability and willingness to work independently is required

What the job involves

Perform Quality Assurance reviews of KYC files and TM alerts to determine if the review was conducted in accordance with the quality standards and timeframes set by established procedures and regulatory requirements
Ensures client data, business activity & narrative, products, screening alerts, documents, extension/exemptions and other such determinations are appropriate, fully supported, and clearly documented
Each file review is finalised by completing a QA Checklist
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the various systems used for performing and documenting KYC
Communicate concerns with the KYC team leads
Ensure that the issues raised are remediated to an adequate standard, or the Client’s account is closed
Maintain effective working relationships with key business partners. Requires close working relationships with KYC and MLRO business partners
Stay abreast of developments concerning AML/ Sanctions including internal policy, standards, onboarding process and system changes and work with management to ensure the bank remains in compliance
Identify trends and trains the KYC team on the areas of concern
