- We're looking for a seasoned professional with at least 6 years of experience as a Product/UX designer, preferably in the finance, payments, blockchain, or e-commerce space
- You'll need a portfolio that's as impressive as it is diverse, showcasing your conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
- You're a believer in Design Thinking, able to navigate through complex problems with ambiguity and bring clarity. You empathize with the needs of the user, define specific problems, ideate ideas, and deliver outcomes. You understand the importance of experimentation & analysis and incorporate them into your design focus & decisions
- You're passionate about pixels, craftsmanship, and the impact of design. You're familiar with building and maintaining design systems in Figma, and you're a strong communicator, presenter, and collaborator. You know how to weave a story to present creative ideas to peers and senior management, and you're open to both giving and receiving critical feedback
- You value people skills and collaboration, working harmoniously with team members and creatives. You've directly managed and mentored designers, guiding them on their journey to greatness
- And of course, you're proficient in using Figma to create visually stunning designs
What the job involves
- RDX Works is on the hunt for a detail-oriented, UX-focused Product Designer to join our quest to redefine the future of decentralized finance (DeFi)
- As part of our growing band of designers, you'll work closely with our Head of Design, Aftab Arab, leading the product design function
- You'll have the chance to create industry-defining designs and mentor and manage other designers as we expand our team
- You'll refine your wireframes, not settling for good, but striving for perfection
- Your role doesn't stop at design; you'll be invested in the implementation process with developers and keenly observe how real customers interact with your designs post-launch
- You'll deftly navigate the complexities of payment processes, financial terminologies, AML/KYC processes, Web3, and decentralized technology, all the while prioritizing the needs and experiences of the end user
- You'll be part of an ambitious, fast-paced environment that demands conceptual, strategic thinking and a readiness to collaborate to create highly intuitive and user-centered products
- You'll lead discovery processes and workshops, defining the dragons the business is trying to slay
- You'll transform business problems, data, and research output into visually appealing design solutions that tell a compelling story
- You have a sharp eye for detail, robust UX skills, and a portfolio that showcases your design thinking process
- You'll iterate rapidly on feedback from stakeholders and conduct research to validate your ideas
- You'll help build, shape, and maintain our Product Design System in Figma, like a master blacksmith forging a legendary weapon
- You'll mentor and manage other designers, guiding them on their journey to greatness
Our take
Differentiating itself from both centralised finance institutions built as closed-off islands, and from more general-purpose protocols in the sector, RDX Works builds its first layer protocol specifically for decentralised finance rather than blockchain in general. This sets it apart from larger companies such as Ethereum, and allows users of the RDX - or Radix - ledger and protocol to move their assets across different applications and build new interoperable products on the system.
Acting as a web of different companies, RDX Works acts as an umbrella for RDXlt and also operates the Radix Foundation, a not-for-profit that educates developers on RADIX technology. This network creates a web of users that has allowed rigorous R&D on the company's technology, accelerating its progress.
Blockchain and crypto companies such as Ethereum and Ava may claim to be at the frontiers of financial decentralisation, but RDX Works is further pushing the boundaries of DeFi. With significant funding secured so far, RDX is making crypto more efficient and flexible.
