Our take

Born from a dearth of data on sustainable food, HowGood offers a platform with the world’s largest database on food and personal care sustainability. Drawing from over 550 different data sources to assess over 33,000 different ingredients, chemicals and materials, HowGood provides brands and retailers with the information to improve their environmental and social impact.

Since its fruition in 2006, we have only become more environmentally conscious. HowGood has grown up with the demand; its sustainability intelligence guides brands towards meeting their sustainability goals, created due to pressure from customers. Whilst HowGood’s client list, including Chipotle and Kraft Heinz, speaks to its central and trusty position within a shifting industry.

Its influence is set to grow further, with the reality that more than 70% of shoppers are more willing to pay more for sustainable products coupled with the strategic investment of its funding, which has gone towards expanding industry partnerships and developing HowGood’s intelligence platform, Latis.
