What the job involves

You will play a major role in helping millions of eBay sellers connect to our buyers worldwide via shipping experiences which delight and help our sellers grow their business
You’ll be one of 6-8 software engineers in the team
The team is led by an Engineering Manager and has a dedicated Product Manager and designer
We own a suite of web applications within the shipping space built with React and Node.js using TypeScript
Building and extending front-end React and Node.js applications, ensuring they are maintainable, secure, and scalable
Improving application quality and deployment speed, through refactoring code, proposing new tools and changing processes
Effectively communicating your progress to your team members, your manager and wider eBay colleagues
Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to implement best practices in software engineering and architecture
Supporting the transformation of our rapidly evolving shipping platform by contributing to research, scoping, and planning of new features
Assisting with observability by helping to maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting, as well as learning from production incidents
Participating in mentorship by seeking guidance from senior colleagues and engaging in learning opportunities such as pair programming and team knowledge-sharing sessions
