Who you are

Experience in Rust is a must, TypeScript/Go/Python experience is a plus
Strong networking skills
Strong AWS (or other cloud provider) experience and Terraform/CDK/equivalent is a plus
Experience in monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, CloudWatch, or other
SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred)
Solid Linux and networking skills
Demonstrated experience with managing production services
Experience in decentralized systems and libraries e.g. libp2p is a plus

What the job involves

Conceptualize new features and share your ideas concisely in written form and collect peer feedback
Write new and improve existing software/services in Rust
Build and deploy infrastructure using Terraform/AWS/Grafana/Opsgenie/Prometheus
Plan and implement metrics/monitors and operate the Cloud team’s services

WalletConnect is a Web 3.0 communications protocol that enables wallets and apps to securely connect. The company’s suite of APIs have been integrated by hundreds of wallets and apps to enable interoperability between devices, and bridge users with Web 3.0’s emerging products.

With the popularity of cryptocurrency applications on the rise, WalletConnect is primed for growth - as it offers a way to establish connections between crypto wallets and decentralized finance apps. To date, partner wallets and apps include Coinbase, MetaMask, Uniswap, and OpenSea, as well as X and Stripe.

Having raised funding in late 2022, led by Union Space Ventures and 1kx, the company stated it would scale wallet interoperability and work on developing a generalized messaging layer, so it provides a medium of communication between users.
